Reducing Our Footprint

Solar Panels

 

 

As members of the community, we feel bound to contribute to the health of our planet. Since September of 2017, we’ve stepped up sustainable practices with a 60-panel solar array that produces clean energy on the roof of our home. We worked with Portland, ME-based ReVision Energy to install the 17 kilowatt grid-tied solar electric system.

 

Each year, the system will generate roughly 19,200 kilowatt-hours (kWhs) of electricity, offsetting the equivalent of over 33,100 miles driven in a gas-powered car. The electricity we produce is either used in real-time by our facility, or fed back to the grid where it benefits our community and earns us a credit.

 

This clean source of energy on our rooftop will help reduce our carbon footprint and protect our planet for future generations.
